maxpayne
For this weapon as it appears in Max Payne 3, see M10.

The Ingram is a weapon in Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

Characteristics

Max Payne

The Ingram is a machine pistol and can be wielded individually or in pairs. The submachine gun has an extremely fast firing rate and large 50-round magazine capacity, making it ideal for taking out a room full of enemies, especially in Bullet Time. It will fire in a four-round burst when the fire button is tapped. However, its fast firing rate has a drawback - the gun's ammunition will quickly deplete, especially while dual-wielding, leaving Max with no way to further use the weapon until more ammo is found. The gun is also pretty inaccurate, but this can be reduced, once again, by entering Bullet Time. The damage is not impressive; enemies can usually take quite a bit of punishment before hitting the floor, although this is mostly negated by the high fire rate.

It is a common weapon of the Punchinello Crime Family, and is also used on occasion by the Mercenaries and Killer Suits. Some notable characters using this weapon include Rico Muerte, the first enemy found wielding it, and Nicole Horne.

Max Payne 2

The Ingram returns in Max Payne 2. It is depicted similarly to the first game, but has a lower magazine capacity of 32 rounds, although its reduced two-round burst when tap-fired makes ammo conservation easier.
